FAQs

Do I need a prescription/referral for physical therapy?
This depends on your insurance. Medicare requires a referral, but most Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans do not. Our office will call for your benefits. If you pay privately, no PT referral is necessary.

How do I begin?
Call the office to schedule a PT evaluation. The office will take your insurance information and verify your physical therapy benefits.

Can I get a massage under physical therapy benefits?
If your physical therapy treatment plan indicates you need a massage for therapeutic purposes, then yes, it will be part of your treatment.

We accept most insurances.

To name a few:

Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans

Highmark

Medicare

VA Choice

Workmans’ Compensation

Auto Accident

If we do not accept or participate in your insurance network, we will gladly provide you with a invoice of treatment which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement and/or payment.

What do I wear to physical therapy?
Depending on your scheduled treatment, you may want to wear gym clothes. At the evaluation, loose clothing is the most appropriate.
